FastLanes

A Next-Gen File Format for Modern Hardware

FastLanes is a next-generation file format designed for modern hardware, including SIMD and GPU acceleration. It aims to enable high-throughput, low-latency data access for analytical workloads by leveraging hardware-aware design principles.

FastLanes was developed as part of my PhD research at CWI in the Database Architectures (DA) group. I continue to improve and extend it in my postdoctoral work, with a focus on parallel decoding, compression schemes, and integration with modern data processing engines.
